The present writ petition is filed to declare the action of the respondents in not conducting an effective and fair investigation into Crime No.648 of 2019 on the file of Saroornagar Police Station, Rachakonda, registered for the offences under Section 354-D IPC and Section 12 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012. 2.
Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home.

Learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home, on written instructions, dated 04.11.2019, which is placed on record of this Court, would submit that based on the complaint of the petitioner, a case was registered in Crime No.648 of 2019 on the file of Saroornagar Police Station, Rachakonda, for the offences under Section 354-D IPC and Section 12 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012, on 27.09.2019. He would further submit that during the course of investigation, L.Ws.1 to 4 were examined, their statements were recorded, and the accused person were arrested on 02.11.2019 and sent to judicial custody. On the basis of the written instructions, learned AGP would submit that steps are being taken to file a requisition before the concerned Magistrate for recording the statement of the victim under Section 164 Cr.P.C., and after that, a final report would be filed before the concerned Court.

In the light of the submissions of the learned Assistant Government Pleader based on the written instructions as to the steps being taken by
the police in the above crime, and having regard to the nature of relief sought for in the writ petition, no orders are required to be passed in the writ petition. However, the respondent authorities shall ensure that the investigation is conducted in fair manner.

The writ petition is accordingly closed. Pending miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall stand closed in the light of this final order. No order as to costs.
