HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE M.S. RAMACHANDRA RAO WRIT PETITION No.38271 of 2015 O R D E R :
The petitioner is a Contractor, who was awarded contract for coal transportation by the respondents. The contract period would come to an end by 09.11.2015. The petitioner had made representations dated 29.06.2015 and 11.07.2015 to the 1st respondent seeking extension of the contract for a further period of six months.
2. Learned counsel for the petitioner contends that though the 3rd respondent has recommended for such extension of contract, the 1st respondent is not taking any decision on the above representations.
3. The learned Standing Counsel for the respondents states that the 1st respondent will consider the representations of the petitioner and pass a reasoned order in accordance with law.
4. In that view of the matter, this writ petition is disposed of directing the respondents to consider the representations dated 29.06.2015 and 11.07.2015 of the petitioner in accordance with law and communicate the same to the petitioner, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. As a sequel, miscellaneous petitions pending, if any, shall stand closed. There shall be no order as to costs.
