Koothuru Devender Reddy, v. State Of Telangana,
THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE C. PRAVEEN KUMAR WRIT PETITION No.23459 of 2017 ORDER:
This Writ Petition, under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, came to be filed seeking to declare the inaction of the second respondent in investigating and filing charge sheet in crime No.118 of 2016, as illegal and arbitrary.
Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner as well as the learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home. With their consent, the Writ Petition is disposed of at the stage of admission itself. The limited grievance of the petitioner in this Writ Petition is that though crime No.118 of 2016 was registered on 28.09.2016, the respondents-Police have not completed the investigation till date. Having regard to the facts in issue and since the crime is registered in the month of September, 2016, the Writ Petition is disposed of directing the respondents-Police to complete investigation and file a final report in crime No.118 of 2016, if not already filed, as early as possible, preferably within a period of three to six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Miscellaneous petitions pending in this writ petition, if any, shall stand closed. No costs.
