Petitioner is working as animal keeper in Nehru Zoological Park, Hyderabad. Petitioner is aggrieved by the order of Curator, Nehru Zoological Park, Hyderabad dated 17.05.2018 suspending him from service.

It is contended by learned counsel for the petitioner that prior to suspension, petitioner was not put on notice and no opportunity was given. Therefore, the order of suspension is not valid in law.

It is not in dispute that Curator of Nehru Zoological Park, is competent authority to place the petitioner under suspension. The Telangana Civil Services (CCA) Rules, 1991, do not contemplate prior opportunity before placing the employee under suspension. 5.

A reading of the order itself would show that there is application of mind and on consideration of the material on record, the order is passed. No case is made out for interfering against suspension. Further against the order of suspension appeal is maintainable. Petitioner has not availed the remedy of appeal before invoking the jurisdiction of this Court. Thus, the writ petition is dismissed leaving it open to the petitioner to avail the remedy of appeal against the order of suspension. There shall be no order as to costs.
