ORDER

This petition under Section 482 Cr.P.C. is filed by the petitioner/accused seeking to quash the proceedings in Cr.No.50 of 2016 of Bowenpalli Police Station, Hyderabad City, for the offence punishable under Section 218 IPC, against him.

2. It is alleged in the complaint that the petitioner/accused, while working as Tahsildar, Trimulgherry Mandal, had issued NOC in respect of land admeasuring 119.80 gts in GLR Sy.No.243, which belongs to the State Government, to one Kishan Rao, thereby caused loss to the Government and benefit to Kishan Rao. Based on the complaint of Revenue Divisional Officer, the aforesaid crime was registered against the accused.

Truth or otherwise of the allegations made against the petitioner cannot be decided at this stage. Therefore, this Court is not inclined to interfere with the impugned proceedings. However, the concerned police are directed to complete the investigation without making arrest of petitioner/accused and file a final report, if any.

4. With the above direction, the Criminal Petition is disposed of. Miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this criminal petition shall stand closed.
