When the matter was taken up for hearing on 25.09.2018, as none appeared, it was directed to be listed under the caption 'For Dismissal' on 27.09.2018. Thereafter, the matter underwent several adjournments. Even today, though the matter is listed under the caption 'For Dismissal', when the matter is taken up for hearing, the petitioner does not appear nor is there any representation on her behalf.

The Supreme Court in K.G. KERALAKUMARAN NAI R v . STATE OF KERALA 1 and RAM NARESH YADAV v . STATE OF BI HAR2 observed that the High Court has power to dismiss an appeal or any other criminal proceedings for default. In view of the above, the criminal petition is dismissed for non-prosecution. As a sequel, the miscellaneous applications, if any pending, shall stand closed.
