HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE ABHINAND KUMAR SHAVILI W.P.No.24089 of 2019 ORDER:

When the matter is taken up for hearing, learned counsel for the petitioner has informed that during pendency of this Writ Petition, the petitioner has passed Accounts Test for Subordinate Officers Part-I and in view of the fact that the petitioner has passed the said examination, the case of the petitioner shall be considered for the post of Hostel Welfare Officer Grade-I without reference to the G.O.Ms.No.225 dt.18-05-1999.

Learned Government Pleader for Social Welfare appearing for the respondents has also contended that if the petitioner has passed the said examination during the pendency of the Writ Petition, his case can be considered for promotion to the post of Hostel Welfare Officer Grade-I in accordance with Rules.

Having regard to the submissions made by the parties, this Court is of the considered view that this Writ Petition can be disposed of by directing the respondents to consider the case of the petitioner for promotion to the post of Hostel Welfare Officer Grade-I, if the petitioner is otherwise eligible to the said post. With these observations, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.

AKS,J W.P.No.24089 of 2019 As a sequel, the miscellaneous petitions pending, if any, shall stand closed.
