Ravinder Reddy, the learned counsel for the petitioner, informs this Court that the police have already released the detenu, namely Mr. Mohd Abdul Vasay Faruqui, after detaining him for more than twenty four hours. Hence, this case has become infructuous. Therefore, this writ petition is, hereby, dismissed as infructuous. In case the petitioner is of the opinion that the fundamental rights or civil rights of the detenu are violated, he shall be free to seek the proper remedies available to him.
