HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE A.RAJASHEKER REDDY WRIT PETITION No.20962 OF 2018 O R D E R :
This writ petition is filed challenging the action of the respondents in opening Rowdy Sheet against the petitioner. Heard learned counsel for the petitioner.
Learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home produced written instructions stating that petitioner has committed two offences vide Crime No.400/2007 under Sections 452, 324, 326, dated 25.09.2007 r/w.34 IPC and Crime No.410/2015, under Sections 353, 332 IPC, dated 11.08.2015; that in order to have proper surveillance over his illegal activities and to maintain peace and tranquillity in the area, Rowdy Sheet is opened against the petitioner and is being renewed from time to time by conducting periodical reviews and it stands renewed upto 31.12.2018. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that no copy of the rowdy sheet is furnished to the petitioner.
Learned Assistant Government Pleader also states that inspite of opening Rowdy Sheet, he has not stopped his illegal activities. In view of the same, writ petition is disposed of directing the respondent police to serve a copy of the Rowdy Sheet on the petitioner opened against him and it is open for the petitioner to challenge the same. No order as to costs.
As a sequel thereto, miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in the writ petition, shall stand closed.
