Heard Sri A.Prabhakara Sarma, learned counsel for the petitioners, Government Pleader for Municipal Administration and Urban Development for Respondent Nos.1 and and Sri M.D.Saleem, learned Standing Counsel for 3rd Respondent. The sum and substance of the case of the petitioners herein is that without adhering to the due process of law, the Respondents-authorities are highhandedly attempting to demolish the structures of the petitioners in the name of widening of the road.

On the other hand, it is submitted by the learned Government Pleader, on instructions, that if any private lands of the petitioners are required for any public purpose, they will follow due procedure, as contemplated under law. Accordingly, the writ petition stands disposed of, at the stage of admission, by placing on record the above submission of the learned Government Pleader. No order as costs. Miscellaneous Petitions pending, if any, in this writ petition shall stand closed.
