HONOURABLE Dr. JUSTICE B.SIVA SANKARA RAO CRIMINAL PETITION No.4806 of 2015 ORDER :

The Petition is filed by the Petitioners-A.1 to A.5 under Section 482 Cr.P.C to quash the proceedings in Cr.No.821 of 2014 of Alwal Police Station, Ranga Reddy District, registered for the offences punishable under Sections 498-A of I.P.C. and Sections 3 and 4 of Dowry Prohibition Act(for short, 'the D.P. Act').

2) Both the parties present and sought permission to compound the offences punishable under Sections 498-A of I.P.C. and Sections 3 and 4 of the D.P.Act.

3) Accordingly, permission is accorded to compromise in the above case to subserve the ends of justice from the parties needs to compromise, even though Sections 3 and 4 of the D.P.Act are not compoundable since main offence under Sections 498-A of I.P.C. is compoundable with the permission of the Court. In the interest of justice this Court permitted by invoking Section 482 Cr.P.C to compound all the offences in the above crime and accordingly the offences are compounded in terms of their compromise.

4) Accordingly, the petition is allowed and all the proceedings in Cr.No.821 of 2014 of Alwal Police Station, Ranga Reddy District, are quashed. The bail bonds of the petitioners, if any, shall stand cancelled.

5) Miscellaneous applications, if any, pending in this Criminal Petition shall stand closed.
