Heard the learned counsel for the petitioners Sri N.Subba Rao and the learned Government Pleaders for respondents 1 to 5. 2.

According to the petitioners, they are the employees of the respondent Kakinada Port. Pursuant to the meeting of the empowered Committee held on 01.12.2010 in the Office of the Chief Commissioner of Land Administration to discuss the proposal for allotment of Government Land to various institutions/organizations including Kakinada Port Employees Mutually Aided Cooperative Building Society, the Chief Commissioner of Land Administration addressed a letter bearing No.CCLA'S Lr/Mp/Assin.II (2)/339/2014, dated 21.09.2015, requesting the State Government to take decision and that the Director of Ports, Government of Andhra Pradesh/third respondent herein vide Lr.No.DoP/D3/1396/2015, dated 22.03.2017 recommended allotment of Ac.10-00 of Port Land to the Kakinada Port Employees Mutually Aided Cooperative Building Society for construction of Houses/flats in the model of LIG/MIG/HIG to the members of the Society on payment basis.

The complaint of the petitioners in the present writ petition is that despite the said correspondence and the recommendations, the second respondent is not taking any action and in view of the same, petitioners herein are sustaining irreparable loss and hardship. Since the issue is pending consideration before the second respondent, this Court deems it appropriate to dispose of the writ petition, with a direction to the second respondent to take appropriate action in the matter in respect of allotment of land to the Kakinada Port Employees Mutually Aided Cooperative Building

Society, pursuant to the meeting of the empowered committee held on 01.12.2010, letter of the Chief Commissioner of Land Administration bearing No.CCLA'S Lr/Mp/Assin.II (2)/339/2014, dated 21.09.2015 and letter of the Director of Ports, Government of Andhra Pradesh/third respondent herein vide Lr.No.DoP/D3/1396/2015, dated 22.03.2017 as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of three months from the date of receipt of this order.

Writ petition is accordingly disposed of. As a sequel, the miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall stand disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
