When the matter came up for hearing, learned Standing Counsel appearing for respondent submits that during the pendency of the writ petition, the petitioner retired from service voluntarily and hence, the cause does not survive for adjudication. Recording the above submission, the writ petition is dismissed as infructuous. No costs.
