ORDER

This writ petition is filed seeking the following relief: "...to issue Writ, order or direction or writ more particularly one in the nature of Writ of Mandamus declaring the action of the respondents in not granting 12 years stagnation and 20 years special Grade-I stagnation increments to the petitioner in pursuance of the Circular No.PD-30/05, dated 04.06.2005 and in pursuance of the Circular No.PD-04/2011, dated 12.1.2011 with effect from the date of their completion of 12 years and 20 years of service to the petitioner is illegal, arbitrary and unjust and consequently direct the respondents to grant 12 years stagnation and 20 years special Grade-I stagnation increments in pursuance of the Circular No.PD-30/05, dated 04.06.2005 and Circular No.PD-04/2011, dated 12.1.2011 to the petitioners and pass such other order or orders as this Hon'ble Court may deems fit and proper under the circumstances of the case." Heard Sri G.Rajesh, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, and Sri N.Vasudeva Reddy, learned Standing Counsel appearing for respondent-Corporation.

It is the case of the petitioner that initially, he was appointed as Cleaner in the respondent-Corporation on 16.2.1987. After rendering considerable length of service, he was promoted as Mechanic. Though he is entitled for 12 years stagnation increment and 20 years Special Grade-I stagnation increment, the respondents are not releasing the same in pursuance of the Circulars dated 4.6.2005 and 12.1.2011. Hence, the petitioner submitted representations on 23.7.2019 and on 29.8.2019 to the

respondents. But, so far, no orders have been passed by the respondents.

Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that the respondents be directed to consider the case of the petitioner for grant of 12 years stagnation increment and 20 years Special Grade-I stagnation increment by duly passing orders on the representations dated 23.7.2019 and 29.8.2019 submitted by the petitioner.

Learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents submits that the respondents would consider the representations dated 23.7.2019 and 29.8.2019 submitted by the petitioner and pass appropriate orders thereon.

Having considered the rival submissions made by the learned counsel on either side, this Writ Petition can be disposed of directing the respondents to consider the representations dated 23.7.2019 and 29.8.2019 submitted by the petitioner and pass appropriate orders within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
