Crl.P.M.P.No.17524 of 2016 is filed under Section 320(2) of Criminal Procedure Code,1973 (for short, 'Cr.P.C.') seeking permission to compound the offences punishable under Sections 498-A of Indian Penal Code, 1860 and Section 4 of Dowry Prohibition Act, 1961 in C.C. No. 244 of 2015 pending before the junior Civil Judge-cum-Judicial Magistrate of I Class, Bodhan Both the parties are present in person and they are identified by their respective counsel and produced photo copies of Aadhar card in proof of their identity. On enquiry, they stated that they entered into compromise due to intervention of elders and voluntarily settled the matter and terms of compromise were complied. Since the settlement is in the interest of both parties so as to lead their lives peacefully in future and since the compromise will have no impact on the society, I deem it proper to grant leave to compound the offence by exercising jurisdiction under Section 482 Cr.P.C.
Accordingly, permission is accorded in Crl.P.M.P. No.17524 of 2016 as sought for.
In view of the order passed in Crl.P.M.P.No.17524 of 2016, criminal petition is allowed. No costs.
Miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this criminal petition, shall stand closed.
