When the matter is taken up for hearing, counsel for the petitioner as well as learned Government Pleader appearing for the respondents submitted that the issue raised in this writ petition is squarely covered by the order passed by this Court in W.P.No.10965 of 2019, dated 07.06.2019, and contended that the present writ petition be disposed of in terms of the above said order.

In view of the above submissions and for the reasons alike in the order dated 07.06.2019 in W.P.No.10965 of 2019, this writ petition is disposed of at the stage of admission, directing the respondents to consider the case of the petitioner for promotion to the post of Deputy Director of Town and Country Planning strictly in terms of G.O.Ms.No.257, dated 10.06.1999 and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law within a period of four (4) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.. There shall be no order as to costs.
