The present writ petition is filed seeking a direction to the fourth respondent to issue notice under Section 41-A Cr.P.C., if any crime is booked against the petitioner, on the information of Kanimozhi, PNM Sundaram and Anuradha.

Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home.

Learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home, on written instructions, dated 08.11.2019, which is placed on record of this Court, would submit that one P.Kanimozhi lodged a complaint before the fourth respondent, on 05.11.2019, stating that she had a land dispute in Chennai with her brother, due to which, she approached the petitioner, who assured to settle the land dispute for an amount of Rs.5,00,000/- and after taking the amount, he did not settle the matter and when she tried to contact him, he ignored her calls and therefore, she approached the fourth respondent by making the complaint. Acting on such complaint, a case was registered in Crime No.789 of 2019 for the offence under Section 420 IPC on the file of Malkajgiri Police Station, on 05.11.2019, wherein the petitioner herein is arrayed as the sole accused. Learned AGP would further submit that the investigation in the above case is at the initial stage and that after examining the witnesses, investigation will be proceeded further.

Having regard to the facts and circumstances of the case, no further orders need be passed in the writ petition. It is needless to

mention that the authorities will act in accordance with law, while conducting investigation into the matter.

The writ petition is accordingly disposed of. Pending miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall stand closed in the light of this final order. No order as to costs.
