This writ petition is filed assailing the proceedings dated 31.03.2017 issued by the third respondent, Revenue Divisional Officer, Kodad, Suryapet District, according permission for conversion of agricultural lands mentioned therein for non-agricultural purpose, on the application filed by the fifth respondent.

Learned counsel for the petitioners has not disputed the fact that as against the impugned proceedings, the petitioners have an efficacious alternative remedy of appeal.

In view of the same, this Court is not inclined to entertain the writ petition.

The writ petition is accordingly dismissed only on the ground of availability of an alternative remedy of appeal. The petitioners are granted liberty to avail the remedy of appeal against the impugned proceedings. In the event such an appeal is filed by the petitioners, the appellate authority shall consider the prayer for interim relief or dispose of the main appeal itself as expeditiously as possible in accordance with law. As a sequel, pending miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall stand closed. No order as to costs.
