THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE SANJAY KUMAR CONTEMPT CASE No. 1797 of 2014 ORDER:

This contempt case was instituted alleging willful disobedience to the order dated 11.09.2012 passed by this Court in WPMP.No.32055 of 2012 in W.P.No.25140 of 2012. By the said order, this Court directed the Andhra University to comply with the interim orders passed by a Division Bench of this Court in W.A.No.1702 of 2004 in connection with the writ petitioner. The said order required the University to take suitable steps for payment of pension.

It is now stated by Sri A.K. Jayaprakash Rao, learned counsel for the petitioner, that the Andhra University addressed letter dated 17.12.2014 to the petitioner informing him that he would be paid retirement benefits after receiving the grant from the Government of India.

In the light of the above development, this contempt case is closed leaving it open to the petitioner to take suitable steps for seeking implementation of the order in future, if warranted. No costs. ___________________ SANJAY KUMAR, J Date: 11.03.2015 ES
