Natala Jalaja v. The Convenor, Eamcet 2011 (Mpc Stream Admissions)
THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE SANJAY KUMAR WRIT PETITION No.22733 of 2011 ORDER:
The petitioner assailed the action of the respondents in not allowing her to exercise her option as per the notification dated 21.07.2011 issued by the Convenor, EAMCET-2011, in respect of engineering course, basing on her rank and social status.
By order dated 11.08.2011, this Court took note of the fact that the petitioner belonged to Samban Community, a Scheduled Caste, and had obtained certificate dated 29.10.2007 to that effect from the Revenue Divisional officer, Nellore, and directed respondents 1 and 2 to consider her case for admission into the professional course as per her entitlement basing on her social status certificate dated 29.10.2007.
Sri D.V. Nagarjuna Babu, learned counsel for the petitioner, states that pursuant to the afore-stated interim order, the petitioner was permitted to exercise her option and was admitted into engineering course. He further states that no steps have been initiated by the respondent authorities in connection with the petitioner's social status certificate dated 29.10.2007 till date. In that view of the matter, the prayer in this writ petition has worked itself out owing to implementation of the interim order and no adjudication is called for on merits. All issues are therefore left open and the writ petition is closed. Pending miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall also stand closed. No order as to costs.
