ORDER:

According to petitioners, though they were selected by direct recruitment as Assistant Executive Engineers, on the ground that they secured the Degrees in Engineering by correspondence mode, they were not granted employment. Aggrieved thereby, they filed O.A.No.5883 of 2013 before the A.P.Administrative Tribunal. 2.

In view of interim orders granted by the Administrative Tribunal, they were appointed and they have been working. The present grievance of petitioners is that their services were not regularized.

According to learned counsel for petitioners, Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University preferred appeal before the Supreme Court vide Civil Appeal No.3697-3698 regarding qualification issue. Supreme Court, by the judgment dated 10.04.2018, held that the Degrees granted by the University to the candidates admitted up to academic year 2009-2010 may not be disturbed. According to learned counsel, in view of the said judgment, petitioners ought to have been regularized. 4.

Material on record would disclose that petitioners and few others have submitted representation to the Engineer-in-Chief, Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Department, Hyderabad (2nd respondent) requesting to regularize their services by referring to the judgment of the Supreme Court.

At this stage, learned counsel for petitioners as well as learned Assistant Government Pleader agrees for final disposal of

the writ petition with a direction to the 2nd respondent to dispose of the representation.

Recording the same, writ petition is disposed of directing the 2nd respondent to dispose of the representation submitted by the petitioners dated 05.05.2018 as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of two months from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
