THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTI CE T.VI NOD KUMAR WRI T PETI TI ON No.24449 of 2019 ORDER:

The present writ petition is filed to declare the inaction of the respondents in either apprehending or filing a final report in FIR No.379 of 2019 dated 22.06.2019 registered on the file of the third respondent Police Station for the offences under Sections 307, 354, 498-A IPC read with Sections 4 and 6 of the Dowry Prohibition Act, 1961, as illegal and arbitrary.

Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home.

Learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home, on written instructions, dated 07.11.2019, which is placed on the file of this Court, submits that based on the complaint of the petitioner herein, the aforestated case was registered, wherein the petitioner alleged that she got married on 17.02.2013 and soon after marriage, though she went to her in-laws house along with dowry and other valuable items, her husband started beating and harassing her and when she complained the same to her in-laws, they have also assaulted, disrespected and harassed her. Learned AGP further submits that during the course of investigation, the investigating authority had examined L.Ws.1 to 11 and their statements were recorded and the investigation is completed and the final report will be filed within two months.

Having regard to the submission made by the learned Assistant Government Pleader on behalf of the respondents, this Court is of the view that no further orders are required to be passed in the writ petition.
