THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE A.RAMALINGESWARA RAO WRIT PETITION NO.5822 OF 2009 ORDER:

This writ petition is filed seeking to issue writ of mandamus declaring the action of the respondents in not taking any steps to stop the illegal sand quarry at Andole (village & Mandal), Medak District, as illegal, arbitrary and contrary to law apart from being violation of the provisions of A.P. Minor Mineral Concession Rules, 1966 and G.O.Ms.No.84, Industries & Commerce (M1) Department, dated 10-042007. 2.

This Court, vide order, dated 20-08-2009 directed the respondents not to permit any unauthorized person to conduct sand quarrying operations at Manjeera river bed, Andole village and Mandal, Medak District until further order.

3. The lease for the sand quarrying operation itself expired. In view of the same, nothing survives for adjudication in the present writ petition.

4. Accordingly, the writ petition is dismissed as infructuous. No order as to costs. Miscellaneous petitions, if any pending in this writ petition shall stand closed.
