HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE S. RAVI KUMAR WRIT PETITION No.18959 of 2000 ORDER:

This writ petition is filed seeking a direction in the nature of writ of mandamus to declare the action of the 1st respondent in trying to consider the case of the 3rd respondent for the post of professor in Department of Commerce and Management Studies even before considering the case of the petitioners, who are appointed as readers prior to her appointment as reader by extending notional service contrary to the merit promotion scheme under which she was promoted and in violation of various instructions issued by the Government and UGC from time to time and without considering the case of the petitioners as illegal, arbitrary and without jurisdiction.

2. Advocate for petitioners represented that no further orders are necessary and the writ petition has become infructuous.

3. Recording the submission of advocate for petitioners, writ petition is dismissed as infructuous. No costs.
