Petitioner claims that he is native of agency area in Khammam District. He is entitled to be considered for the post of Forest Beat Officer in the agency area, as he is a native of that agency area. In response to the notification issued to the post of Forest Beat Officer, petitioner submitted his application giving all the details disclosing that he belongs to agency area. But against column No.23 on the question "Do you belong to agency area" : He has typed as 'No'.

Learned counsel for the petitioner now states that petitioner secured very high merit and he could have been selected in the agency area but for the small mistake committed by him. He would submit that according to the certificates issued by the competent authorities, he is a local person of the agency area. Ventilating his grievance, a representation was submitted by the petitioner on 23.06.2018.

Learned counsel for the petitioner as well as learned Standing counsel would submit that the writ petition may be disposed of directing the Telangana State Public Service Commission, to examine the claim of petitioner and to take a decision.

Having regard to these submissions, without expressing any opinion on merits, the Writ Petition is disposed of directing the Secretary, Telangana State Public Service Commission, to examine the claim of petitioner and consider the feasibility of accepting the claim of petitioner by treating him as a person belonging to agency area and to pass appropriate orders as warranted by law, and communicate the decision to the petitioner within a period of two

(2) weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order. There shall be no order as to costs.

Miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this writ petition shall stand closed.
