THE HONOURABLE SRI JUSTICE P. KESHAVA RAO WRIT PETITION No.965 of 2013 ORDER:

Heard learned counsel for the petitioner as well as learned Government Pleader appearing for respondent Nos.1 to 3. 2.

The basic grievance of the petitioner in the writ petition is that the respondent police is not taking steps to stop usage of loud speakers on the top of religious places in residential areas and silence zones and conducting of public meetings late night in the old city of Hyderabad, as illegal and unconstitutional, and consequently sought for implementation of G.O.Rt.No.227, dated 11.07.2000. 3.

Learned counsel appearing for respondent Nos.1 to 3 states before the Court that as of now there is no complaint lodged by the petitioner herein or anyone living in the area of the petitioner. 4.

Keeping in view of the specific stand taken by respondent Nos.1 to 3 in the counter-affidavit, this Court is of the opinion that there are no merits in the writ petition and the same is liable to be dismissed. However, the petitioner is given liberty to file a complaint before the competent authority to take action against the persons, who are acting in violation of the orders passed in G.O.Rt.No.227, dated 11.07.2000.

With the above direction, the writ petition is disposed of.

As a sequel, miscellaneous petitions pending, if any, shall stand closed. No costs.
