The Mahila Vikasa Mutually Aided Cooperative Thrift v. The State Of Andhra Pradesh,
THE HON'BLE THE ACTING CHIEF JUSTICE RAMESH RANGANATHAN AND THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE A.SHANKAR NARAYANA Writ Petition No.26564 of 2010 ORDER: (Per the Hon'ble The Acting Chief Justice Ramesh Ranganathan) In this writ petition the constitutional validity of the Andhra Pradesh Micro Finance Institutions (Regulation of Money Lending) Ordinance 2010 (A.P. Ordinance No.9 of 20910 dated 15.10.2010) is under challenge. The said Ordinance was subsequently replaced by the Andhra Pradesh Micro Finance Institutions (Regulation of Money Lending) Act, 2011 (for short "the Act").
The petitioners have not chosen to amend the prayer to challenge the validity of the Act. As the Ordinance is not in force as on date, the cause in the writ petition does not survive, and the writ petition has become infructuous.
The Writ Petition is, therefore, dismissed as infructuous. Miscellaneous petitions pending, if any, shall also stand dismissed. There shall be no order as to costs.
