ORDER:
This writ petition is filed for consideration of the representation, dated 24.6.2012, of the petitioners by the respondents for appointment of petitioner No.1 as Fair Price Shop Dealer in Rajahmundry Town in a vacancy caused by the death of sister of petitioner No.2 on 12.12.1997 while working as fair price shop dealer in Rajahmundry.
2. Heard learned counsel for the petitioners and learned Government Pleader for Civil Supplies (Andhra Pradesh) appearing for the respondents.
3. The Government issued G.O.Ms.No.4, Consumer Affairs, Food and Civil Supplies (CS-1) Department, dated 28.2.2014 framing new guidelines for appointment of fair price shop dealers on compassionate grounds. In view of the same, the petitioners are given liberty to apply afresh in terms of the said Government Order and as and when the petitioners apply, the respondents shall consider the same in accordance with law.
4. Accordingly, the Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
5. Miscellaneous Petitions pending, if any, in this Writ Petition shall stand closed.
