This writ petition is filed seeking the following relief: "...to issue a writ, order or direction more particularly one in the nature of Writ of Mandamus in declaring the action of the 2nd respondent without any reason not issued appointment orders as Junior Linemen even though the petitioner has completed pole climbing test successfully and in spite of completion verification of certificates, even though the petitioner is qualified in pursuance of the Notification No.1 of 2018, dated 16.02.2018 as illegal, arbitrary, unjust and in violation of Articles 14, 16, 19 and 21 of the Constitution of India and consequently direct the 2nd respondent to include the name of the petitioner in final selection list by appointing the petitioner as Junior Linemen in the 2nd respondent organization in pursuance of the Notification No.1 of 2018, dated 16.

02.2018 and to pass such other or further orders as this Hon'ble Court may deem fit and proper in the circumstances of the case." Heard Sri D.Sudharshan, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, learned Government Pleader for Energy appearing for respondent No.1 and Sri Zakir Ali Danish, learned Standing Counsel appearing for respondent Nos.2 and 3.

It is the case of the petitioner that pursuant to the notification dated 16.2.2018, he has applied for the post of Junior Lineman. Though he has fared well in the selection process and qualified in the pole climbing test, his name did

not appear in the final selection list. Hence, he submitted a representation dated 26.6.2019 to the respondents requesting them to consider his case for appointment to the post of Junior Lineman by duly taking into consideration the merit. But, so far, no orders have been passed by the respondents. Learned counsel appearing for the petitioners submits that the respondents be directed to consider the case of the petitioner for appointment to the post of Junior Lineman by duly passing orders on the representation dated 26.6.2019 submitted by the petitioner.

Learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents submits that the respondents would consider the representation dated 26.6.2019 submitted by the petitioner and pass appropriate orders thereon.

Having considered the rival submissions made by the learned counsel on either side, this Writ Petition can be disposed of directing the respondents to consider the case of the petitioner for appointment to the post of Junior Lineman and pass appropriate orders on the representation dated 26.6.2019 submitted by the petitioner, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Accordingly, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.

Miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending shall stand closed.
