HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE R.KANTHA RAO W.P.No.33775 OF 2015
ORDER
Heard learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Pleader for Women Development and Child Welfare appearing for respondents 1 to 4.
The petitioner is resident of Tripuranthakam Village and Mandal, Prakasam District. In response to the notification dated 8.9.2015 inviting applications for the post of Anganwadi Workers/Helpers from the eligible candidates, the petitioner submitted her application. The respondent-authorities having noticed that there is a discrepancy in the application submitted by the petitioner with regard to her date of birth, did not receive her application on the ground that she is not eligible for being appointed as Anganwadi worker. Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that in fact, the petitioner's date of birth is 7.9.1992 and she produced all the certificates showing her date of birth as 7.9.1992, in which event, she is eligible to be considered for the post of Anganwadi Worker.
He also submits that the respondent-authorities ought not to have refused the application submitted by the petitioner. He seeks direction to the respondents to receive the application of the petitioner and consider her case for the post of Anganwadi Worker pursuant to the notification dated 8.9.2015.
Considering the said submissions, the Writ Petition is disposed of directing the respondents to receive the application submitted by the petitioner, examine all the documents furnished along with the application, consider her case for the post of Anganwadi Worker, subject to her fulfilling the eligibility criteria. No costs.
Miscellaneous Petitions, if any, pending shall stand closed.
