This writ petition is filed for a mandamus to declare seizure of the petitioners' vehicles bearing Registration Nos.AP 29TA 6205, AP 24X 6518, TS 05UA 4521, AP 24Y 4578, AP 24TB 4904 and TS 05E 4185 respectively, as illegal and arbitrary.

At the hearing, there is no representation for the petitioners. I have perused the record. In the affidavit filed in support of the writ petition, it is averred that the above-mentioned vehicles were seized on the allegation that they are being used for transportation of sand. However, in the copy of F.I.R. No.745 of 2015 dt.30.09.2015, filed by the petitioners, it is alleged that certain vehicles mentioned therein are involved in transportation of public distribution system rice. Learned counsel for the petitioners is not present to explain this discrepancy. In view of the same, the writ petition is dismissed. As a sequel to dismissal of the writ petition W.P.M.P.
