ORDER :

The grievance of the petitioners is that earlier they were identified as persons eligible to receive Social Security Pension. But subsequently, the same was suddenly stopped, without any justification and petitioners are deprived of the said pension. On their complaints, the matter was investigated into and on thorough verification of the eligibility of the persons, the Mandal Parishad Development Officer, Regidi Amudalavalasa, has submitted his report to the Project Director, DRDA, Srikakulam, on 10.03.2015, recommending the names of the petitioners for grant/restoration of social security pension. Inspite of such recommendation made, so far no orders are passed. Hence, this writ petition.

2. Since a recommendation is made by the Mandal Parishad Development Officer, after conducting an enquiry, into the eligibility of the persons and the said recommendation is stated to be pending before Project Director, DRDA, Srikakulam, the writ petition is disposed of without expressing any opinion on merits, directing the Project Director, DRDA, Srikakulam, Srikakulam District, to consider the said report and if the petitioners are found to be eligible for suitable pension, to take further course of action for sanction and release of the pension, payable to them. The entire exercise shall be completed within a period of six (6) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. There shall be no order as to costs. Miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this writ petition shall stand closed.
