It is the case of petitioners that reference under Section 3G(5) of the National Highways Act, 1956 challenging the determination of compensation by 2nd respondent in his proceedings dt.31-01-2016 is pending before the 3rd respondent for more than one year and that the 3rd respondent is not passing any order thereon. 2.

Learned Government Pleader for Land Acquisition appearing for respondents Nos.2 and 3 states that the 3rd respondent will decide the said arbitration proceedings within six (06) weeks from the date of receipt of the copy of the order after providing opportunity of hearing to the petitioners.

In view of the said submission, this Writ Petition is disposed of directing the 3rd respondent to decide the arbitration proceedings within six (06) weeks from the date of receipt of the copy of the order after providing opportunity of hearing to the petitioners. No costs. 4.

As a sequel, miscellaneous applications pending, if any, shall stand closed.
