THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE CHALLA KODANDA RAM WRIT PETITION No. 19043 OF 2016 O R D E R:

The petitioners are said to be the members belonging to Scheduled Castes community. Their case is that under G.O.Ms.No. 20, Scheduled Castes Development (SCP) Department, dated 30.09.2015, certain guidelines have been issued to benefit the members belonging to SC community, to be self-employed. Since the petitioners acquire the requisite eligibility, they have applied for the benefits under the scheme and also attended the interviews conducted on 19.12.2015 by the 3rd respondent District Collector, who is also the President of the 2nd respondent Corporation. While so, the 3rd respondent issued the impugned proceedings, dated 29.12.2015, fixing some priorities, which, according to the petitioners, are contrary to the spirit of G.O.Ms.No. 20, dated 30.09.2015. The grievance of the petitioners is that their cases were not considered on the ground that they do not fit into the said priorities.

Heard learned counsel for the petitioners as well as learned Government Pleader for Social Welfare (Telangana). Having regard to the fact that the petitioners belong to Scheduled Castes community, that they have attended the interviews conducted by the 3rd respondent on 19.12.2015 and especially the Applications submitted by them are pending with the 2nd respondent, without expressing any opinion on merits, it would be suffice if a direction is given to Respondents 2 and 3 to consider the Applications of the petitioners and take appropriate steps subject to their satisfying the other criteria, as laid down in G.O.Ms.No. 20, dated 30.09.2015, and any other guidelines issued from time to time. Ordered accordingly.

The Writ Petition, with this order, stands disposed of. No costs. Consequently, the miscellaneous Applications, if any shall also stand disposed of.
