HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE ABHINAND KUMAR SHAVILI AND HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE N.V.SHRAVAN KUMAR W.A.Nos.881 and 974 OF 2008 COMMON JUDGMENT: (Per Hon'ble Sri Justice Abhinand Kumar Shavili) Since the issue involved in both the writ appeals is one and the same, they are being heard together and disposed of by way of this common order.

Both the writ appeals are directed against the order dated 22.04.2008 passed in W.P.No.9645 of 1998 by the learned Single Judge.

W.A.No.881 of 2008 is filed by the workmen and W.A.No.974 of 2008 is filed by the RTC.

When the matter is taken up for hearing, learned counsel appearing for the appellants had submitted that the learned Single Judge has remanded the matter in I.D.No.19 of 1997 back to the Tribunal to hear both the sides and pass appropriate orders. Learned counsel had further submitted that in view of the remand made by the learned Single Judge, let the matter be decided by the Tribunal within a reasonable period.

Having considered the said submissions, this Court is of the view that since the learned Single Judge has remanded the matter back to the Tribunal and as the dispute between the parties pertains to 1997, ends of justice would be met if a direction is issued to the Tribunal to dispose of I.D.No.19 of 1997 within a reasonable period. Accordingly, both the Writ Appeals are disposed of by directing the Tribunal to dispose of the I.D.No.19 of 1997 within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.

Miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending shall stand closed.
