Petitioner claims to be the owner and in possession of land to an extent of Ac.0-03 guntas in Sy.No.598/3 or 598/4 (it appears there is some dispute regarding the appropriate survey number). 3.

Aggrieved by the wrong mutations in the revenue records to this extent of land appeal was preferred before the Revenue Divisional Officer, Rajanna Sircilla District. The Revenue Divisional Officer, by his order dated 15.10.2016, while allowing the appeal, directed mutation of name of "Sri Somireddy Malla Reddy S/o.Narsimha Reddy" whereas the petitioner is "Somireddy Tirupathi Reddy S/o.Narasimha Reddy". Aggrieved by this order, petitioner preferred revision and the said revision is pending before the Joint Collector. It appears the Joint Collector called for the report from the Tahsildar and Tahsildar submitted his report on 20.02.2017. However, no further orders are passed. Alleging inaction on the revision pending before the Joint Collector, this writ petition is filed.

Having regard to the facts noted above, without entering into the merits of the issue agitated in the writ petition, the Writ Petition is disposed of, directing the Joint Collector, Rajanna Sircilla (2nd respondent) to pass final orders on the revision preferred by the petitioner on 13.12.2016, after putting on notice the 6th respondent herein, as expeditiously as possible, preferably

- 3 - within a period of eight (8) weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order. There shall be no order as to costs. Miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this writ petition shall stand closed.
