This writ petition was filed alleging that the Sub-Inspector of Police, Kodad Town Police Station, Nalgonda District, was interfering in the civil dispute pending between the petitioner and respondents 4 and 5 herein without there being any complaint against the petitioner.

Basing on the written instructions received from the Station House Officer, Kodad Town Police Station, Nalgonda District, the learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home stated that the police authorities did not interfere in the civil dispute said to be pending between the parties by calling the petitioner to the police station or pressurizing him to settle the dispute. He further stated that no complaint had been received and no criminal case was registered against the petitioner on the

file of the Kodad Town Police Station. He categorically denied the allegation of the petitioner that he was harassed or threatened or that the police had interfered with his life and liberty.

The stand of the police authorities as afore-stated is taken on record. Needless to state, in the event the police need to summon the petitioner or examine him, be it in connection with any crime registered against him or in respect of any other crime, they are bound to follow the due procedure laid down by law. The writ petition is accordingly closed.

Pending miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall also stand closed. No order as to costs.
