THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE SANJAY KUMAR CONTEMPT CASE No.374 of 2016 ORDER:

This Contempt Case was filed alleging willful disobedience to the order dated 18.06.2015 passed by this Court in Writ Petition No.17773 of 2015. By the said order, this Court directed the Tahsildar, Jeelugumilli Mandal, West Godavari District, to consider the petitioner's application dated 26.02.2015 for issuance of pattadar pass books under the Andhra Pradesh Rights in Land and Pattadar Pass Books Act, 1971 within a time frame and take appropriate action thereon.

The Tahsildar, Jeelugumilli Mandal, West Godavari District, filed a counter-affidavit stating that after due consideration of the petitioner's application, endorsement dated 27.11.2015 was issued to the petitioner stating that it was not possible to grant pattadar pass book and title deed to him as the land in question was under a family dispute. A copy of the endorsement is also placed on record.

In the light of the afore-stated stand taken by the respondent, Sri A. Srinivas, learned counsel representing

Sri N. Satyanarayana, learned counsel for the petitioner, states that his client would take recourse to appropriate remedies available to him under law.

In that view of the matter, there is no disobedience, much less willful disobedience, to the order passed by this Court warranting exercise of contempt jurisdiction. The Contempt Case is accordingly closed leaving it open to the petitioner to workout his remedies in accordance with law.

Pending miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall also stand dismissed. No order as to costs.
