HONOURABLE SRI JUSTICE T. VINOD KUMAR WRIT PETITION No.25025 OF 2019 ORDER (ORAL) This Writ Petition is filed by the petitioners seeking to declare the action of the respondents in not allotting business site of 10 square yards to each of the street vendor (petitioners) in the land of Greater Hyderabad Municipality Corporation which is situated beside their present business site at Gaffoor Nagar, Opposite to Westin Hotel, Madhapur, Hyderabad, to enable them to carry on their business for their livelihood through street vending in terms of Street Vendors Protection of Livelihood and Regulation of Street Vending Act, 2014.

2. Heard Sri Chikkudu Prabhakar, learned counsel for the petitioners, Sri V. Ramesh Reddy, learned Central Government Standing Counsel appearing for Union of India - respondent No.1, learned Government Pleader for General Administration appearing for respondent No.2, learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home appearing for respondent No.3, learned Government Pleader for Municipal Administration appearing for respondent No.4 and Sri Sampath Prabhakar Reddy, learned Standing Counsel for Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation appearing for respondent Nos.5 and 6, and perused the material on record.

3. Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioners have made representation dated 29.04.2019 before the competent authority including the Commissioner of Greater

Hyderabad Municipal Corporation - respondent No.5 for allotment of business site of 10 square yards to each of the petitioners (street vendors), and that if a direction is given to the said authorities to consider and dispose of their representation, the same would meet the purpose in the present writ petition.

4. Learned Standing Counsel for Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation would submit that he has no objection for consideration of petitioner's representation pending before the competent authority in particular before respondent Nos.5 and 6.

5. In view of the aforesaid circumstances, the authorities concerned are directed to consider and dispose of the petitioners' representation dated 29.04.2019 in accordance with law within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. With the above directions, the writ petition is disposed of. No order as to costs.

As a sequel thereto, Miscellaneous Petitions, if any, pending in the writ petition stand closed.
