Petitioner asserts that his vehicle bearing No.TS 05 AHTR 5669 was seized by respondent No.3 on the ground of violation of the excise laws. Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Government Pleader for Excise.
As the vehicle of the petitioner was seized on the ground of violation of the excise laws, the petitioner is at liberty to submit an application before the second respondent herein, the Deputy Commissioner of Prohibition and Excise, Nalgonda, under Section 34 of the Telangana Excise Act, seeking release of the subject vehicle. Thereupon, the said authority shall consider and pass appropriate orders on such application within a period of one week from the date of receipt thereof.
Subject to the above, the writ petition is disposed of. Miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this writ petition shall also stand disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs. ____________________ JUSTI CE T.VI NOD KUMAR Date:15.11.2019 GJ
