ORDER
Initially, the petitioners were the employees of Sanjay Rural Electric Supply Co-operative Societies (SCORE), Medak District, which was wound up because of non viability. Subsequently, the petitioners were absorbed in the DISCOMS in the year 2005 against newly created supernumerary posts. The petitioners were extended the benefits such as pay scale, increments, Automatic Advancement Scheme increments and other allowances, after their absorption in APSPDCL based on qualifications and relevant experience, but they were not extended GPF benefit. In respect of other employees of M/s.Allwyn and Seelru Project, they were extended the benefit of GPF. Under those circumstances, the Chairman and Managing Director addressed a letter dated 7.5.2011 to the Special Secretary to Government. When there was no response from the Secretary to Government, the present writ petition is filed.
When the matter is taken up, learned counsel appearing for the petitioners submitted that by order dated 27.2.2017, this Court disposed of W.P.No.2531 of 2012 and batch directing that
pursuant to letter dated 15.3.2011, the Principal Secretary, Energy Department, State of Andhra Pradesh, shall issue instructions to the Chairman and Managing Director, APSPCDL, Tirupati, Chittoor District, as expeditiously as possible, preferably, within a period of three months from the date of receipt of copy of the order.
Following the said order, this writ petition is also disposed of directing that pursuant to letter dated 7.5.2011, the Principal Secretary, Energy Department, State of Telangana, shall issue instructions to the Chairman and Managing Director, TSSPDCL, Hyderabad District, as expeditiously as possible, preferably, within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
