The petitioner herein sought for a writ of mandamus for declaring the action of the 2nd respondent, the Deputy Chief Traffic Inspector, Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation, Mahaboobnagar Region, in not disposing of the Appeal said to have been submitted by him on 24-02-2015 against the Proceedings of the Depot Manager, Shadnagar, dated 10-02-2015, as illegal. The petitioner is employed as a Conductor with the respondent Corporation. The bus conducted by the petitioner was checked at 1625 hours on 24-10-2014 and because of some proven cash and ticket irregularities, the penalty of removal from service has been imposed on him on 10-02-2015. Against this Order, an Appeal has been preferred by the petitioner on 24-02-2015 to the Deputy Chief Traffic Inspector, Mahaboobnagar Region.

Not even one month period has elapsed from the date of Appeal. In normal circumstances, I would have rejected the writ petition as not even a reasonable period of time has been left for the authority concerned to deal with the Appeal, but however, for the circumstances explained and in view of the fact that the services of the petitioner have come to be terminated, I consider that it would be appropriate to direct the Appellate Authority, the Deputy Chief Traffic Inspector, Mahaboobnagar, to deal with the Appeal of the writ petitioner dated 24-02-2015 within a maximum period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and pass an appropriate and reasoned order thereon duly providing an opportunity of hearing to him.

With this, the writ petition stands disposed of at the admission stage, but however, without costs.

Consequently, the miscellaneous petitions, if any, stand disposed of.
