THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE A.RAMALINGESWARA RAO WRIT PETITION No. 2858 of 2017 ORDER:
This writ petition is filed for the following relief: "......to issue an order or direction more particularly one in the nature of writ of mandamus declaring the action of the respondents in not investigating the case in Crime No.237 of 2016 of Miryalaguda I Town Police Station and in harassing the petitioner and his family members threatening them to deposit the gold loan amount at the instance of the bank officials of Karnataka Bank, Miryalaguda Branch is highly arbitrary, bad and illegal. ..."
Today, when the matter is taken up for consideration, learned Government Pleader for Home, on the basis of written instructions, submits as follows:
"It is submitted that the investigation in the above crime is pending for verification of purity of gold. After completion of investigation, appropriate report will be filed before the concerned jurisdiction Court.
It is submitted that during the course of investigation in the above crime, the petitioner was requested to produce the related documents in support of his version and instead of cooperating the police, he filed present writ petition making false and baseless allegations alleging that police are harassing him. It is submitted that we have not harassed the petitioner or threatened him to deposit the gold loan amount as alleged in the affidavit. The said allegations are false, baseless and hence denied. It is submitted that there are no merits in the above writ petition and it is liable to be dismissed."
In view of the same, no further orders are necessary to be passed in the present writ petition.
The writ petition is accordingly closed.
