THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE P. NAVEEN RAO WRIT PETITION No.7295 OF 2010 ORDER:

This Writ Petition is filed for the following relief: ".. to issue a writ, order or direction more particularly one in the nature of Writ of mandamus declaring the inaction on the part of the respondents herein with regard to convening of D.P.C., for the post of Junior Lecturer in (Civics) as being illegal, arbitrary and violative of rights guaranteed under Articles 14, 16 and 21 of the Constitution of India and further direct that the writ petitioner is entitled to be promoted as Junior Lecturer (Civics) w.e.f. 31.12.2008 and pass such other order or orders as this Hon'ble Court may deem think fit and proper in the circumstances of the case."

During the pendency of the writ petition, the petitioner has retired from service on attaining the age of superannuation. Thus, the prayer as sought for by him in the Writ Petition cannot be granted to him and the cause in the Writ Petition does not survive for adjudication and the same has become infructuous. 3.

In view of the same, the Writ Petition is dismissed as infructuous. There shall be no order as to costs. Miscellaneous Petitions, if any, pending in this Writ Petition shall stand closed.
