W.P.No.8690/2017 WRI T PETI TI ON No.8690 of 2017 ORDER: (Per Hon'ble Sri Justice V. Ramasubramanian) The petitioner has come up with the present writ petition seeking a direction to the respondents to provide age relaxation of 5 years to the woman candidates, for appointment to the post of Civil Judges (Junior Division).

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner.

3. The petitioner participated in the selection process in the year 2016, for recruitment to the post of Civil Judges (Junior Division). But she did not succeed even in the preliminary examination. Now she has become over aged and she is seeking relaxation in the upper age limit.

4. But there is no provision for such relaxation. The claim is not legally founded upon in any Government Order or Rule. This Court cannot issue a direction for relaxation. Therefore, the relief prayed for cannot be granted. Hence the writ petition is dismissed.

5. As a sequel, pending miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall stand closed. There shall be no order as to costs.
