THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE K.SURENDER CRIMINAL PETITION NO. 7244 OF 2022 O R D E R:

This Criminal Petition is filed under Section 438 of Cr.P.C. seeking pre-arrest bail to the petitioner/accused, in the event of his arrest in connection with Crime No.482 of 2022 on the file of Jangam Police Station, Warangal District, registered for the offences punishable under Sections 417 and 420 of the Indian Penal Code. 2.

Heard the learned Counsel for the petitioner and learned Assistant Public Prosecutor for the respondent-State. 3.

Since the punishment prescribed for the offences alleged against the petitioner is up to seven years, without going into merits of the matter, respondent - Police are directed to follow the procedure as contemplated under Section 41-A Cr.P.C and the guidelines formulated by the Hon'ble Supreme Court in Arnesh Kumar v. State of Bihar1 scrupulously, without taking any coercive action. It is needless to say, any deviation in this regard will be viewed seriously. 4.

The Criminal Petition is accordingly, disposed of. 5.

Miscellaneous applications pending, if any, in this criminal petition, shall stand closed.
