Vide present petition, the petitioners seek direction, thereby to enlarge them on bail in connection with Cr.No.262 of 2016-17 of Prohibition & Excise, Prathipadu PS, East Godavari District, registered for the offences punishable under Section 8(c) read with 20(b)(ii)(C) of ND PS Act. Heard the learned counsel for both parties.

Keeping in view of the huge quantity of ganja recovered i.e., 174 kgs. from the petitioners, Section 37 of the NDPS Act comes into play. Hence, I find no grounds to enlarge the petitioners on bail when the investigation is still pending.
