When the matter came up for hearing, the learned counsel for petitioner submits that during the course of pendency of the above writ petition, the petitioner has already been promoted and hence the cause in the writ petition does not survive for adjudication. Recording the above submission, the writ petition is dismissed as infructuous. No costs.
