ORDER:

The petitioners challenge the inaction on the part of the respondents in conducting elections to Pahadi Shareef Gram Panchayat of Saroornagar Mandal, Ranga Reddy District.

2. When the matter is taken up, learned Standing Counsel representing the Telangana State Election Commission placed before this Court the notification, dated 28.09.2015, and Note, dated 01.10.2015. According to the notification, dated 28.09.2015, the concerned authorities were directed to finalize and publish the Photo Electoral Rolls in the Gram Panchayats where ordinary/casual vacancies are existing as on 15.10.2015. This notification also includes the Pahadi Shareef Village of Saroornagar Mandal, Ranga Reddy

District, at Item No.53. By the Note, dated 01.10.2015, circulated to the learned Standing Counsel, he was informed about the same fact and it is stated that after the publication of electoral rolls, the Commission would issue schedule for publication of polling stations and notification for conduct of election to the respective Gram Panchayats.

3. Having regard to the assurance given by the Telangana State Election Commission, I do not see any justification to keep the writ petition pending. The grievance of the petitioners, thus, stood answered by the 1st respondent Telangana State Election Commission.

4. Therefore, the Writ Petition is, accordingly, closed. There shall be no order as to costs. Miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this writ petition shall stand closed.
