THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE A.RAMALINGESWARA RAO WRIT PETITION No.4237 of 2010 ORDER:
This writ petition was filed seeking a direction to the respondents to consider the candidature of petitioners, who are seven in number, and for their appointment as Contract Junior Linemen in the respondent organization by taking into consideration their services as contract labour.
A counter affidavit is filed by respondent No.3 stating that all the petitioners are having S.S.C. and I.T.I. in the trade of Electrician qualification and they have experience as Contract Labour/Pole to Pole workers. They also succeeded in pole climbing test, but they were not appointed as Junior Linemen since they did not come up in the Roster as per the notification. Out of 302 posts notified, 291 vacancies were filled up on 07.07.2007 with the eligible experienced contract labour, who fulfilled all the conditions, and there are only 11 vacancies, which were earmarked for the following categories:
1) S.C - 8 vacancies
2) S.T. - 1 vacancy
3) B.C-C - 2 vacancies Ultimately, it was stated that the cases of petitioners would be examined and considered in the left over vacancies as per their eligibility and Rule of reservation.
In view of the averments made in the counter affidavit by respondent No.3, this Writ Petition is closed. No order as to costs. Miscellaneous Petitions, if any, pending in this Writ Petition shall stand closed.
